BIO

Danielle Hanson, a Colorado native, was born in Denver and raised just outside of the city in Arvada, Colorado by her parents Chris and Tonya Hanson. She was an only child for ten years; until her sisters Delaney and Devynn came along and made the family LOUDER, FASTER, AND FUNNIER! Danielle grew up with a love for both soccer and making people laugh. It was not uncommon in her house, to find Danielle doing impressions of Jim Carrey’s role, Ace Ventura and Tom Hanks’ Forest Gump. She made up characters that would commonly show up at her sisters tea parties, the dinner table, or family car rides to the grocery store. If there is an opening, there is a character, silly voice or funny face!

Along with making her family laugh, Danielle was also known to crack a smile or two on the soccer field. The field was Danielle’s second home. She began playing soccer at the young age of six. Playing on the top teams, holding the position of captain multiple times, and starting on varsity all through high school, Danielle earned awards such as, “Best Defender,” “Rising Star,” and the “Panther Pride” award. Along with excelling in soccer in high school, she was also apart of the theatre program. Here she took acting classes, appeared in plays and venues, and eventually won the “Best Actress” award at the Colorado State Thespian Conference. The award landed her a spot at a top acting conservatory, and took her to New York City!

Out of the suburbs, and into the big city, Danielle attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts: School of Film and Television. There she learned how to work in front of, and behind the camera, movement, audition technique, and many other skills needed to make it in the rough business of ACTING! She worked with great teachers and mentors who all work in the business today. Of all the important lessons the teachers taught, the words that will be ingrained in her forever are, “This is the path you have chosen,” and “Nobody knows nothin!”

Since she graduated from NYCDA Danielle has been working hard at her career. She appeared in an off-off Broadway ensemble play, an online media Q and A, and she takes improvisation classes to keep up her skills, and to work on all those characters, silly voices, and funny faces!
